Jason loved his WWII Jeep we had in Indonesia. He was always fixing one last thing, and then he said it would be mantap, which means perfect or complete in Indonesian. But then he would notice the next smaller leak or the rattle that you couldn’t hear until he fixed the last one. It is just impossible to use a 70 year old vehicle in the rain forest and keep it perfect at the same time. This life lesson makes me wonder why I try to wait until I am perfectly comfortable with something before I say yes to God. Just like our Jeep, I will always be a work in progress!
“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”
Ephesians 2:10 NIV
