I was pregnant with both of my girls on the mission field, coming ‘home’ to give birth at 32 weeks with each of them. I had no experience in this world, and had one doctor’s visit with each of them before 32 weeks. I trusted God to care for them and me while He knitted them together. And I had the book What To Expect When You’re Expecting. I read that book cover to cover, and when any changes happened I was comforted when I found them in the book, meaning what I was experiencing was ‘normal,’ even though it felt anything but. So the challenge God has been presenting me with is, ‘Do I do this with the Bible?’ Do I read it cover to cover? Do I search it for solutions? Do I follow it’s advice and share what I’ve learned with others? God has given me everything I need, including showing me how He will love me even when I mess up. I want to live out Psalm 119:105 more faithfully: “Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”
