I am just now finally understanding and accepting that God has created me to be an introvert. Every time I have started a new group I have envisioned lots of people coming, from craft groups to English clubs and book clubs, but God has graciously saved me from myself, allowing me one-on-one time and small group time, which is how He designed me to thrive. Even in nature God hasn’t designed everything to have the highest yield possible. A banana tree only produces one bunch of bananas a year. Prioritizing my energy, producing fruit. My job is to obey in the tasks He gives me, not to produce the fruit. I am working with God, not for God, as if I only needed His help and supervision now and then.
For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well.” Psalm 139:13-14 (ESV)
