I have a black thumb. Mostly because I don’t water things like I should. So I get really excited when a plant in my yard continues to live. This year we got a strawberry plant. I love checking it’s progress each day.  I had to research what a strawberry plant needs and my husband waters it every day – things you do when you are responsible for the growth of something.  Abiding in Christ is similar, but I am the strawberry plant. This simply requires time from me. Jesus provides the water and the best conditions for me to mature and bear fruit. He simply asks for me to make time to meet with Him, then He provides everything I need to grow and prosper.

Psalms 1:2-3 NIV‬ but whose delight is in the law of the Lord, and who meditates on his law day and night. ‭That person is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither— whatever they do prospers.
