Every time I pull this tote out, it makes me giggle. I was packing up my dorm room right before graduation and seperated my winter clothes into an under-the-bed tote. I had just had an interview for a job in Michigan, and it made so much sense in my head for what I thought God had planned for Jason and I after we got married that I took out a permanent marker and wrote Michigan in giant letters across the top. I didn’t get the job, getting a less stressful one instead for the beginning of married life, and Jason was able to keep his aircraft maintenance job. We were able to stay near family and our church for the next two years until we left for the mission field. We still have this tote, currently under our bed with various holiday decorations in it, and I am reminded that God has a good plan for my life every time I pull it out. I have lived in lots of places now, but never Michigan.

Proverbs 16:9 ESV The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.
