I am part of an event planning team and our theme for this year is about time. So of course I jumped on Pinterest, and found a cute photo of a fabric ‘pocket watch’ and immediately started making my own. The face is felt, and the numbers are back stitched, with a French knot for where the back stitched hands join. I traced the numbers from a template I found on Pinterest also. The back is a sweet piece of calico that I sewed together with right sides facing, then stitched in the ditch to attach the chain and close it up. The chain is a crochet chain that I made out of a leftover bit of chunky yarn, the most metallic-looking yarn I had in my stash. I am still not sure how I will attach it to my shirt – all suggestions welcome! Here is the Pinterest link to the original inspiration and the clock face template in case you need to make your own now 😊.
