Down safe, home safe, back safe. Nearly every text I get from my husband has the word ‘safe’ in it, whether in his career as a pilot or in law enforcement.
One thing I have learned about the word ‘safe’ is that in this world it is only temporary. And sometimes only relative. The definition, “protected from or not exposed to danger or risk; not likely to be harmed or lost;” proves that in this world ‘safe’ can’t be guaranteed.
Only in eternity can this word be fulfilled, can there be true safety.
Psalms 4:8 NIV
[8] In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, Lord, make me dwell in safety.
