I am moving along on my English paper piecing pillow, trying to keep warm in northern Indiana! I took out the basting stitches and the papers, and have begun to quilt the top to a piece of quilt batting. I chose to quilt ‘in the ditch,’ following the seams that hold all of the pieces together, mostly because I don’t know how to do any patterns yet. I chose a bright color thread instead of white, and decided to do a backstitch so there is no gap between the stitches. Hopefully it will make for a cheery pillow. I am almost done with the large triangle border, then will move inward.

What do you think? What are you making? Is it cold where you are?
