I was dressing for a VBS theme day and trying to come up with a super hero theme. I decided to wear an apron and be a mom. Before I could tie the apron, my toddler daughter insisted I help her with her shoes, and instantly. I flipped the apron behind me out of my way and realized it made a perfect cape – accidental brilliance!
When God called Moses, he had everything he needed for God to perform miracles through him, a robe and a staff.
What are your super hero implements? What has God given you to do His work with?
Just like the little boy’s five loaves and two fishes, God takes our ordinary and makes it extraordinary.
Matthew 14:17-21 NIV
[17] “We have here only five loaves of bread and two fish,” they answered. [18] “Bring them here to me,” he said. [19] And he directed the people to sit down on the grass. Taking the five loaves and the two fish and looking up to heaven, he gave thanks and broke the loaves. Then he gave them to the disciples, and the disciples gave them to the people. [20] They all ate and were satisfied, and the disciples picked up twelve basketfuls of broken pieces that were left over. [21] The number of those who ate was about five thousand men, besides women and children.
