Do you have one of those “Leslie Knope” (from Parks and Rec) in your family? Someone who always gives the perfect handmade gift, and trying to match their gift-giving awesomeness causes you stress? In my family it is my oldest daughter. So I got really excited when I saw the following tutorial. My daughter cross-stitches every where she goes, and a travel thread catcher should be just the thing.
Here is my start:

For the cardboard circles I used the outside of a mason jar lid. For.the fabric circles I used the bottom of a CeraVe container. The only thing I’m missing is part of a Pringles can, and I will get that later today. This is where I had to stop:

I am moving along on my quilt top, just over halfway done, and all but three rows assembled.
