I will be finishing the novel In the Time of the Butterflies, a historical fiction about the Dominican Republic struggling against the dictator El Jefe. It has been quite an intriguing book!
I will be moving to France next on my literary journey with the novel The Three Musketeers. I read this book in high school and am looking forward to reading it again, such a fun book! Here is what Google says about it:
The Three Musketeers is a historical adventure novel by Alexandre Dumas, first serialized in 1844, following the young d’Artagnan as he befriends the legendary musketeers Athos, Porthos, and Aramis in 17th-century France, leading to swashbuckling adventures, political intrigue, and the famous motto, “All for one, one for all”. The story is a classic of the “swashbuckler” genre, filled with swordplay, romance, and espionage, as the heroes defend the honor of the Queen against the schemes of Cardinal Richelieu and the villainous Milady de Winter.
This book will be my 20th book in my 80 Books Around the World journey; a quarter of the way there!
What are you reading? Where should I go next in my journey?
