As I was falling asleep the other night, thinking about what I needed to do to get children’s ministry spaces ready for Sunday morning and thinking how mundane that is, the Holy Spirit reminded me that even little preparation tasks can be sacred if I choose to see them that way.

Putting out fresh water jugs, pretzels and paper towels offer a chance to pray over the children they are meant for.

How can I be more intentional about preparing myself and everything I do to seek God’s will?

The next day, during a sermon about our thought life, the Holy Spirit again convicted me, this time about ending my days well. Instead of Perry Mason on Amazon and solitaire on my phone, I could take a walk with God and a family member to talk about anything and everything that happened that day.

What has the Holy Spirit put on your heart?

Matthew 7:24 NIV
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.
