I recently got to, was forced to (it changed by the hour), walk the Battle Road between Lexington and Concord Massachusetts, which is following in the footsteps of the Revolutionary War. My favorite quote at one of the monuments along this trek was by Ralph Waldo Emerson:

“The thunderbolt falls on an inch of ground; but the light of it fills the horizon.”
