I finally finished all 1,340 pages of it! It was a good book, and kept me wondering what was going to happen to all the 20 somethings in it until the end.
I decided to double back on my 80 Books Around the World and return to Iran with
The Lion Women of Tehran by Marjan Kamali.
I am about 1/3 of the way through it and it is very good so far. Here is what Google has to say about it:
“a New York Times bestselling novel about the deep friendship between two girls, Ellie and Homa, in Tehran, set against the backdrop of the Iranian Revolution and political turmoil. The story follows their bond from childhood, through class divides and personal betrayals, as they grow into women with different paths, exploring themes of feminism, political activism, and the complexities of female friendship over three decades.”
I also wanted to share my most recent bookish purchase.

What is your favorite bookish item? What are you reading? What should I read next on my literary journey?
