I finished the book The Wonder, and it would be hard to say anything about it without ruining the ending. It was interesting, and kept me guessing until the end.

I am continuing my 80 books around the world journey with The Name of the Rose by Italian Umberto Eco. It is a murder mystery that takes place in a monastery with a wild library that includes a labyrinth.

It is an interesting book and I definitely want to know ‘who done it’ but the amount of untranslated Latin makes me feel uneducated. I definitely didn’t receive a classical education, and my last French class was in 1998.

I don’t think any of the Latin is integral to the plot, and I can puzzle out some of it, but I have a feeling I am missing some of the best jokes in the book.

In the realm of nonfiction books, I am attending a Bible study with some amazing female friends and going through the book Forgiving What You Can’t Forget by Lysa TerKeurst. It is a very good and very challenging book, born out of the author’s experiences.

What are you reading? Where should I go next in my literary journey?
