I have returned to my quilt, with 3 out of 27 rows quilted, and then 27 perpendicular to do after those. I am still hoping to complete this first quilt by the end of the year. I also spent some birthday money on some fabric to make a 2″ border for my quilt, and then I think I will make a scrappy binding with some of my favorite squares in the quilt. But first I will spend the next few months hand quilting around the squares.

I have also kept going on my quilt as you go hexagons. I finished a coaster for my sister in her favorite color, and made a bookmark for my oldest daughter.
