I have been listening to the audio version of Storm Pegs, the only way I could access it from my library, and was a bit into the book before I realized the author isn’t from Shetland, the country she is writing about, which has been my goal with this reading challenge, but she has lived there for over 20 years.

Which raises the question: What does it mean to ‘be from’ somewhere? Do you have to be born there? Grow up there? At least 3 states claim Abraham Lincoln, including the state I am from. What do you think?

I am enjoying the book Storm Pegs. It is almost poetry, with beautiful and insightful descriptions.

What are you reading? Where should I go next on my literary trip around the world?
