Bible Verse of the Week

Psalms 18:28-32 NIV
[28] You, Lord, keep my lamp burning; my God turns my darkness into light. [29] With your help I can advance against a troop; with my God I can scale a wall. [30] As for God, his way is perfect: The Lord’s word is flawless; he shields all who take refuge in him. [31] For who is God besides the Lord? And who is the Rock except our God? [32] It is God who arms me with strength and keeps my way secure.

    One thing I’ve discovered is that God rarely hands us strength ahead of time. If He did, we’d probably tuck it away in our own pocket and start believing we could manage without Him. Instead, He gives just enough for today’s climb, today’s wall, today’s battle. Tomorrow’s strength is waiting with tomorrow’s mercy.

    It’s a bit like hiking with a flashlight at night. We wish it would illuminate the whole trail, but it only shows the next few steps. Somehow, that’s always enough.
