Bedside Books

On day 8 of a power outage in Northwest Indiana, I am making serious progress through the large book The Luminaries by Eleanor Catton. My favorite quote from this week is: “Love cannot be reduced to a catalogue of reasons why, and a catalogue of reasons cannot be put together into love.”

    As a good summer read, when people are in and out of town so much, my club is reading Eric Metaxas’ 7 Men and 7 Women and the Secret of Their Greatness (2 short biographies/week). They are all people of faith and their stories are fascinating.
