[7] But the Lord said to me, “Do not say, ‘I am too young.’ You must go to everyone I send you to and say whatever I command you. [8] Do not be afraid of them, for I am with you and will rescue you,” declares the Lord. Jeremiah 1:7-8 NIV

I love this verse, and I love that I am not the only one who is unnerved by some of the job assignments God hands out! I also love that two of the times that stick in my memory of people in the Bible who didn’t try to tell God, “No, thank you” were the teenagers, King David and Mary, the mother of Jesus.

I am reminded, as I have two teenagers in my home, that they will say yes to something, so we need to make sure they know what God’s voice sounds like.
