If God has declared it, it is as good as finished. So why do we spend so much energy fretting, lining up plan b and c, and losing sleep? Do any of those things ‘help’ God, as if He needed our help? I am asking myself these questions, and if they create conviction in you, you will have to take it up with the Holy Spirit 🫠

My main role at my church is to make sure we have enough volunteers for early childhood children’s ministry. Some weeks we are all set, but lots of weeks I don’t know if we are going to make it. But whether I sleep on Saturday night or not, God always works it out. After all, it is not my ministry but His, and He wants the little children to come to Him.

We are walking this out with our oldest daughter right now, who feels very strongly about God’s call on her life, which narrows down her college choices to just a few. I’m trying not to stress about peripheral opportunities coming and going as she does her best to follow God’s path. She could wear herself out chasing every path, or she could keep her eye on the prize.

My husband is job hunting right now, and all kinds of normal and off the wall possibilities have crossed his path. The temptation is to grab at the first thing and make it work, but God has made it clear that He is trying to get my husband to dream a little, and we are to wait and trust Him instead of being consumed by all the distractions the enemy has been sending his way.

Faith is a daily challenge, not something we can check off our list as accomplished. If that were true, God wouldn’t still have to remind Moses. So we are in good company when we struggle, cry out to God, and need His reassurance.If God is leading us to something, it will be good, in whatever way He has promised.
