In my 80 books around the world challenge I am reading A Man Called Ove by Swedish author Fredrik Backman. I am intrigued by it so far, not quite a third of the way in. I have a theory on the ending and am curious to see if I am right. Here is what Google has to say:

• Ove is a strict, isolated curmudgeon in a Swedish suburb who follows rigid routines and despairs after losing his beloved wife, Sonja, and his job.
• He tries to end his life to reunite with Sonja, but is constantly interrupted by everyday mishaps from his neighbors.
• A chatty pregnant neighbor named Parvaneh, her husband, and their daughters accidentally crash into his mailbox and pull him back into the community.
• Flashbacks reveal a hard life of quiet integrity, deep romance, and sudden tragedy, gradually explaining why he became so defensive and bitter.

I am just over halfway done with this challenge, and have learned quite a bit about history and geography. Where should I go next on this literary journey? What are you reading?
